Okay, it’s a bit of a click-baity title, but would it be Medium if it wasn't? Now, stick with me, for just a couple of minutes.

A complex instrument built with simplicity.

This tool is so versatile, once you’ve written your content and published it, you can simply forget about it. No need to log it down somewhere in your diary, or manually add it to some publishing list, because it’s right there. Need to organise by gallery view for a rich list? Done. Calendar view to see when you wrote it? Done. Timeline to see how many articles you’ve published this month? Easy-peasy.

If you haven’t guessed by now, you’ve probably not used it before — but if you have, you’ll know how useful Notion is. Available on MacOS & Windows, Android & iOS, it’s an extremely versatile tool. It’s advertised as “one tool for your entire team to share knowledge, ship projects, and collaborate.”, so you’d be forgiven for thinking this was f*** all to do with writing, but a further look into their website, and you’ll find what you need.

In fact, it’s almost understated. This tool is unbelievably capable. A quick look at their customer stories page, and you’ll find people and companies creating countless things, seemingly simple on the outside but with complex underbellies. Designing multi-level databases with the ability to insert anything from videos to files and images, and obviously copy.

Integrations that are actually useful

We all know these sorts of tools can have some serious power, but the integrations are often lacking or seem a little off-piste for the situation.

Notion’s own in-house developed integrations

Notion has 10 native integrations, and a bunch of other integrations created by partners, including Zapier, meaning practically anything is possible.

Zapier has thousands of app cross-app integrations

Huge customisation & large UGC template library

When you first download Notion, or use it, you may find yourself a bit out of your depth. Swimming in a world of customisation and options, not knowing how to keep afloat. But fear not, Notion have a huge swathe of templates and UGC in their template library, allowing you to quickly jump in and choose one that suits you on the go.

You can even create your own template and share it or sell it online. For example, I created a simple but effective way to keep track of all of your articles and content, I find this extremely useful for writing for Medium and my blog in general. If you think you might benefit from something like this, grab a copy and help support me in the process!

Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy Notion as much as me for writing and organising your content!
